A safe drop involves removing excess cash from the register and depositing it into a secure safe to reduce the risk of theft or loss. In CStore Essentials, you can map safe drops to automatically upload them into your Day Close Report. When mapped, the safe drop amount will seamlessly transfer into the total deposit amount for accurate end-of-day reporting.

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Go to CStore Essentials Web Account

    • You can access CStore Essentials by clicking here or going to https://secure.cstorepro.com

    • Click the “Forgot Password” button if you need help resetting your password

  2. Navigate to Store Settings

    • On the top right side of the screen click on the human silhouette icon

    • Then click on POS Settings

3. Select the General Settings tab

  • On the next screen, confirm that General Settings is selected

    • The selected tab will have a white background color, while the unselected tabs will have a grey background color

4. Bank Account for Safe Drops

  • Scroll down until you find Bank Account for Safe Drops

  • Click the dropdown and select the appropriate Bank

5. Save the Changes

  • Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select the Update Settings option

    • If you don’t do this, your changes won’t be saved
