How to Fix Ignored Items in C-Store Essentials

This article outlines the process on how to identify and correct ignored items in your CStore Essentials Price Book

What Are Ignored Items?

C-Store Essentials automatically detects and blocks items with incomplete or invalid details from being sent to the point-of-sale register.

Items may be ignored if any of the following fields are blank or improperly set:

  • Item Name

  • Department

  • Tax Type

  • Price (must not be 0 or negative)

💡Tip: This issue typically arises when uploading the register's price book into C-Store Essentials.

Step-By-Step Process

  1. Go to C-Store Essentials Web Account

    • You can access C-Store Essentials by clicking here or going to https://secure.cstorepro.com

      • Click the “Forgot Password” button if you need help resetting your password

    • On the left side of the screen click on Pricebook

    • Then click on Send to POS

  2. Search for the Item

    • Next click on Price Book

    • Then click on Items

    • Paste the UPC barcode into the Scan Code field and click Search

  3. Edit the Item Details

    • Once you find the item, click the pencil icon on the right

    • Ensure the following details are properly set:

      • Item Name

      • Department

      • Tax Type

      • Price

  4. Save Changes

    • Click the Update Item button to save your changes

5. Send the Item to POS

  • Click on Price Book

  • Then click on Send to POS

  • The item should now be ready to send to the POS register
