Purchase Packs: Re-stock Level and Re-order Point (PDI C-Store Essentials)

This article outlines the process of updating Re-stock Levels and Re-order Points for items in your Purchase Pack

Updated over 3 weeks ago
  • Purchase Packs serve as your vendor’s price book, listing the items you've purchased before and helping you generate new purchase orders

  • Within a Purchase Pack, you can update important item details such as cost, unit per case, discounts, and more

  • You can also set Re-order Points and Re-stock Levels to better manage inventory and avoid running out of key items

  • These two fields help you automate and streamline reordering:

    • Re-order Point: The minimum inventory level that triggers a reorder

    • Re-stock Level: The desired inventory count after the new order is placed

Step-by-Step Process

1. Open the Purchase Pack for Bulk Editing

  • On the left side of the screen, click Price Book

  • Then click on Bulk Update

  • In the top-right corner, click Purchase Pack

2. Filter the Items You Want to Update

  • Use filters such as Price Range, Department, or Vendor to find the items

  • A list of matching items will appear on the screen

3. Update Inventory Thresholds

  • For each item, update the following fields:

    • Re-stock Level – the inventory level you'd like to reach when restocking

    • Re-order Point – the level at which the item should be flagged for reorder

  • Click Save Changes once updates are complete
