How to Enter Daily Lottery Readings in PDI C-Store Essentials

Important Notes Before You Begin

  • You must first activate and confirm all games before entering daily readings

  • Tickets must increase in order (e.g., 1 β†’ 2 β†’ 3, not the reverse)

  • Make sure slots are correctly assigned to each game

3 Methods available for entering Daily Lottery Readings:

Entering Daily Readings Manually (Web Platform)

  1. Log in to your PDI C-Store Essentials account

    • Access your PDI C-Store Essentials Account

      • Use the following link here

    • On the left side of the screen, click on Lottery/Lotto

    • Next click on Day/Shift Closing

  2. Start a New Day

  • Click Enter day report (for your first time), or

  • Click the "+" icon in the calendar to start a new day

3. Enter Ticket Values

  • Click on Enter by slot number

  • A new window will appear

  • Enter the closing ticket value for each slot

  • If a ticket is sold out or taken back by the lottery commission, click Mark if sold out

4. Save and Complete

  • Click Save Changes

  • Return to the main screen

  • Click Finish daily sales to complete the process

βœ… Note: You will not be able to finish the day if readings are missing for any active games


Using a USB Barcode Scanner (Web Platform)

1. Log in to your PDI CStore Essentials account

  • Access your PDI C-Store Essentials Account

    • Use the following link here

  • On the left side of the screen, click on Lottery/Lotto

  • Next click on Day/Shift Closing

2. Start a New Day

  • Click Enter day report, or

  • Click the "+" icon to create a new entry

3. Scan Closing Tickets

  • Use a USB barcode scanner to scan the last ticket in each slot

  • This will automatically capture the closing number and calculate the sales for that slot

4. Review and Mark Sold Out

  • Ensure all ticket readings are recorded

  • If a pack is sold out, skipped, or taken back, mark it appropriately

5. Finish

  • Click Finish daily sales to complete the entry

  • You must enter all active game readings before closing the day


Using the PDI C-Store Essentials Mobile App

Mobile App Requirements

  • You must have Owner or Lottery access on the mobile app

  • To assign access, go to Manage Account > Users, then click the details icon to grant lottery permissions

1. Log in to the Mobile App

  • Open the app and tap the menu icon in the top-left corner

2. Start Daily Reading

  • Click on Lottery/Scratch-Off

  • Next click on Daily Closing Readings

3. Select Reading Date

  • Choose the date you want to enter readings for

4. Scan Tickets

  • Use your phone's camera to scan the long code on each ticket

  • Repeat this for every game in each slot

5. Review and Mark Sold Out

  • Make sure every game has a value entered

  • If needed, mark any game as sold out or taken back

6. Exit

Repeat Step 4 as needed, then simply exit the screen when finished


Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use descending ticket order in C-Store Essentials?

  • No. All tickets must be read in ascending order.

Do I need to enter all readings to finish the day?

  • Yes. Missing readings will block you from completing the daily report.

What happens if a pack is taken back by the gaming commission?

  • Mark it as sold out or indicate it was taken back to exclude it from calculations.

Can multiple users enter readings on the same day?

  • Yes, as long as they have the correct access level on the account or app.
