Overview of the Central Price Book
The Central Price Book (CPB) enables multi-store owners to:
Update pricing and item details across multiple locations
Create promotions and apply them to select stores
Manage store departments and tax groups from a single dashboard
β Note: While changes made in the CPB are pushed to local stores, local store accounts cannot modify the CPB
Step-by-Step Process
1. Log in to Your C-Store Essentials Web Account
Go to the PDI C-Store Essentials login page and sign in
2. Navigate to the Central Price Book Settings
On the top of the screen, click Central Price Book
Next click on Settings
3. Map Departments
Click the Mapping tab
Locate the store you want to map and click the pencil icon next to it
On the Update Register Key screen, match the CPB departments (left side) to the local store departments (right side)
Ensure all departments are mapped, including those on additional pages
Click Map to save the changes
β Note: The left column displays CPB departments, while the right column lists the local store departments
4. Map Tax Groups
Click the Mapping tab
Click the pencil icon next to the store to map tax groups
On the Map Tax Group screen, match the Local Store Tax Group (left side) to the CPB Tax Group (right side)
Click Map to complete the process
β Note: The left column shows local store tax groups, while the right column shows the corresponding CPB tax groups
Important Notes
Local stores cannot modify CPB settings; only the central account can make updates.
Mapping must be completed to ensure price updates and promotions apply correctly.
