How to Auto Sync point-of-sale register's Departments into the C-Store Essentials Account

This article outlines the process to update Departments, Tax IDs, Fuel IDs, Tender Types, and more into your C-Store Essentials account from your Gilbarco Passport or Verifone pos-Registers

Requirements:

  • This process should only be followed if you have added new Departments/IDs on your POS-Register

⛔Stop! Do not auto-sync if you have completely changed the existing Departments/IDs on the POS-Register, as this could cause issues with your C-Store Essentials Price Book

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Go to C-Store Essentials Web Account

  • You can access C-Store Essentials by clicking here or going to https://secure.cstorepro.com

  • Click the “Forgot Password” button if you need help resetting your password

2. Find the POSLink Shortcut

  • From your Backoffice computer, locate the POSLink shortcut

3. Launch the POSLink Application

  • Double-click or right-click and select Open to launch the POSLink application

4. Click the Settings Icon on Top-Right

  • In the top-right corner, click on the Settings icon

  • A dropdown list will then appear with 3 different options to choose from

  • From the menu, choose Upload Register Settings

5. Sync and Upload

  • The system will auto-sync the register's Departments, Tax IDs, Fuel IDs, Tender Types, and other relevant information into your C-Store Essentials account
