How to Extract Verifone Price Book Using POSLink Utility

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Go to Your BackOffice Computer

  • Ensure you are using the Back Office Computer connected to the point-of-sale register

  • Locate the POS-Link shortcut on the desktop

2. Launch POSLink Application

  • Double-click the POSLink icon to launch the application

    • You may also right-click the shortcut and select "Open" to launch the application

  • Once the application launches you will see your store name listed on the top left side of the screen

  • On the right side of the screen there will be a status indicator confirming what point of sale the computer is connected to

    • A settings icon will be listed underneath the status indicator

  • There will also be 3 primary options listed in the middle of the screen

    • Last Price Change

    • Last Day Report

    • Unprocessed

3. Click the Settings Icon on Top-Right

  • In the top-right corner, click on the Settings icon

  • A dropdown list will then appear with 3 different options to choose from

  • From the menu, choose Generate PLU Data

  • Once you have selected the Generate PLU Data option, a PLU List XML file will be created in a Program File on your BackOffice computer

4. Locate the Extracted PLUList

  • The PLUList will be saved in the following directory:

    • C:\Gemcom\bin\out Folder

    • C:\Program Files (x86)\CStore Essentials\POS Link\Service\Archive\PLUList

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I find the PLUList after extraction?

  • The PLUList will be found in the following directories:

    • C:\Gemcom\bin\out Folder

    • C:\Program Files (x86)\CStore Essentials\POS Link\Service\Archive\PLUList

What if I can't find the PLUList file?

  • If the PLUList is not found in the specified directories, ensure that the extraction process was completed without errors.

  • Double-check that you're looking in the correct folders.

Can I extract the Price Book for multiple POS-Registers?

  • Yes, the extraction process can be done on each POS-Register, but make sure you perform this on the correct back office computer linked to the respective register.
