What you will need before we start:
Step 1: Plug in the Ethernet adapter to any available USB port on your Back Office computer and install the drivers.
Note: If the Ethernet Adapter driver does not install automatically, insert the driver CD that came in with your adapter and run the setup. Once installed, you should see the adapter in the Network and Sharing Center located in the Control Panel. [?]
Step 2: Plug one end of the Ethernet Cat5 cable into the Ethernet adapter [?]
Step 3: Locate your Verifone V950 box at your store (Note: this is usually located in the same area as the Sapphire System.) [?]
Step 4: Find the Ethernet cable plugged into the V950 and see which router it's plugging into. [?]
Step 5: Plug the Ethernet Cable coming out of the back office computer into any port available on the router identifed in step. [?]
Step 6: Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet Adapter and the Ethernet Adapter to the Back Office Computer on any available USB port. [?]
Step 2: Configure your back office computer
In order to configure your Sapphire system, you must have connected your sapphire to your back office PC.

Step 1: In your Back Office computer, go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Click on Change Adapter Settings.[?]
Step 2: Find the network adapter you connected during the connection steps.
Note: If you are unsure which Network is your adapter, quickly unplug the adapter and plug it back to see the connection come up instantly. [?]
Step 3: Right click on the Ethernet Adapter network and click on Properties [?]
Step 4: On the Properties window, select the option "Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPv4) and click on properties.[?]
Step 5: On the new Properties window select the option labeled as "Use the following IP address", and type the following information:
IP address: 192.168.31.100
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.31.11
When done, click OK to close the window to apply these changes. Close the window after and the new network should show up on the adapter, this means you are now connected to your Sapphire register. [?]
Note: These credentials that you entered are default credentials provided by Verifone. If you do not see an established connection or see Unidentified Network. Contact the Verifone Help Desk and ask them for your IP, Subnet Mask, and Default Gateway in order for you to get connected.
Step 3: Install the PDI CStore Essentials Utility
Note: This needs to be done from computer you will connect your POS register to.

Log into your PDI CStore Essentials account
Click on Store Settings to go to the Get started page.
Click on Connect to my POS register link
Click the Download PDI CStore Essentials Agent button to download the PDI CStore Essentials Agent software.
Once the download is complete, click on the Setup.exe file to start the installation.
Once the installation is complete, the PDI CStore Essentials Agent will automatically start. Follow instructions on the screen to complete the setup process.
