How to Add or Enable EBT/Foodstamp in PDI Essentials?

You can enable EBT/Food Stamp eligibility in PDI for both new and existing items.

For New Items:

You can set up Food Stamp eligibility while adding new items.

  1. Go to Price Book > Items.

  2. Click on the Add New Item icon located at the top right within the blue box.

  3. Enter all the required item details.

  4. In the item creation form, you will see a Food Stamp checkbox.

  5. Select this checkbox if you want the item to be eligible for Food Stamps.

  6. Now click on Add Item and close, to finish.


For Existing Items:

a. Single Item Update

  1. Go to Pricebook > Items.

  2. Select the item and click Item Details.

  3. Check the Food Stamp box.

  4. Click Update Items to save changes.


b. Bulk Update (Multiple Items)

  1. Navigate to Pricebook > Bulk Update.

  2. Apply filters to select the items you want to update.

  3. Set the Food Stamp category to Yes.

  4. Click the down arrow icon to update all items on the current page as Food Stamp–eligible.

  5. Now choose Send to Register Now to apply changes.
