Step 1: Download the Pricebook Template
Click Store Settings at the bottom-left corner of your login page.
Under Step 4 – Set Up My Pricebook, click See More.
You will see the extended view of the pricebook upload options.
Click Upload Pricebook File.
Click Download Pricebook Template. The Excel file will be downloaded to your computer.
Step 2: Update the Excel File
Open the downloaded Excel template.
Delete the sample items provided in the file.
Add your own items with the required details.
Enter the UPC barcode number exactly as it appears on the product.
Fill in the Modifier field carefully:
Use 0 for single items.
Use 2, 3, 4, etc. for multipack items (e.g., a 2-pack item = 2).
Set the Foodstampable field:
Enter 0 if the item is not Foodstampable.
Enter 1 if the item is Foodstampable.
Update the Current Inventory field (optional):
Use this column to add the inventory count for the item while adding it to the pricebook.
Adding a Price Group Name will create a new pricebook in your account.
Add names in this column only if you want your items to belong to a price group otherwise keep it blank.
If you are adding multiple items under the same price group, ensure the Price Group Name is identical for all of them. Any variation will create a separate price group.
You also have the option to create Price Groups after uploading the pricebook.
After entering all the information, save the updated Excel file in a location on your computer where you can easily find it.
Step 3: Upload the Excel File to PDI
Go back to Store Settings from your login page.
Under Step 4 – Set Up My Pricebook, click More.
In the extended view, click Upload Pricebook File.
Click Upload Your Pricebook File.
Select the saved Excel file from your computer.
If there are no errors, click Add Items.
If you see an error, check the following:
Ensure that the Department IDs and Tax IDs in your Excel file already exist in your PDI system.
If they do not exist, you can check the box Add Missing Dept and Tax IDs. However, note that the department will be saved as Dept ID 1 instead of a specific name. (We recommend adding the required departments first before uploading the pricebook file.)
Once the file is validated, click Add Items, then Finish.
Step 4: Processing Time
The application will take 10–30 minutes to upload the complete pricebook, depending on the number of items in your Excel file.
