🔹 How to Access the New Promotions Interface

  1. Log in to your PDI Essentials (CSE) account.

  2. From the left-side menu, click Price BookPromotions.

  3. On the top-right corner of the page, turn on the “Try out the new experience” toggle.

Once enabled, you’ll be switched to the Promotions Version 2 interface, where you can start creating and managing promotions with the new layout and features.

🆕 How to Create or Add a New Promotion

  1. Click on Add New Promotion

  2. Enter the Promotion Name, Discount Type, and set the Start and End Date.

  3. Enter a Promotion List Name.

    • ⚠️ Tip: Make sure each promotion has a unique list name to avoid setup errors.

  4. Specify the Number of Items and the Discount Value for your promotion.

  5. Use the available filters (Scan Code, Department, or Price Group) to select the items you want to include from your Price Book.

  6. Review all the details carefully, then click Save at the bottom of the page.

Once saved, your promotion will appear in the active promotions list and display the same on the main screen.

🛠️ How to Edit an Existing Promotion

  1. Locate the promotion you want to edit from your Promotions list.

  2. Click the pencil icon on the far right, then select Edit Promotion.

  3. You can update the following details:

    • Promotion Name

    • Discount Type

    • Start and End Date

    • Number of Items

    • Discount Value

    • Add or Remove Items from the existing list

⚠️ Important: Do not change the Promotion List Name. This name already exists and is linked to your POS. Editing it may cause sync or data issues.

  4. After making your changes, review the promotion details carefully and click Update Promotion to save your edits.

Your updated promotion will instantly reflect in the active list and display the same on the main screen.

🗑️ How to Delete an Existing Promotion

  1. Use the available filters to find the promotion you want to delete.

  2. Select the checkbox on the far left of the promotion row.

  3. Click Delete Selected, then click Confirm Deletion to remove the promotion.

To Bulk Delete Promotions:

  1. Use filters to identify multiple promotions you want to delete.

  2. Click the checkbox in the header row to select all the promotions.

  3. Click Delete Selected, then click Confirm Deletion to remove all selected promotions at once.

⚠️ Important Notes:

  1. If the promotion is active and was already sent to the POS, deleting it will only expire the promotion. It will then appear under the Expired tab.

  2. If the promotion was never sent to the POS register, deleting it will result in a permanent deletion from your account.

🔄How to Send Promotions to POS

  1. After all the promotions are created, updated, or expired, from the left-side menu, click Price BookSend to POS.

  2. To push all promotion updates at once, click Send All Promo Changes.

  3. To send only selected promotions, click on the hyperlink "6 Promotions", select the required checkboxes, and click Send Checked Promotions.

  4. Once the process starts, you’ll see the promotion batches in queue. Allow a few minutes for the changes to reflect on your POS system.

💡 Note:

  1. For Verifone users, completed promo batches will display as “Changes sent to register.”

  2. For Gilbarco Passport users, the status will show as “Success.”

  3. Verifone users may need to sign out and sign back in on the POS to activate the new promotions after each batch is processed.

🔍 How to Use Promotion Filters for Quick Access

The new Promotions Version 2 interface includes four filter options to help you quickly view and manage your promotions.

  1. Active Promotions – Displays all promotions that are currently live and running.

  2. Ending Soon – Shows all active promotions that are nearing their end date.

  3. Upcoming Promotions – Lists promotions that are scheduled to start in the future.

  4. Expired Promotions – Includes promotions that have either been deleted or have already expired.

When you select a filter, the page will display all relevant promotions in a clear list view with their key details, making it easy to review, update, or take further action.
