  • Fuel settings help determine how your fuel grades are blended, taxed, and reported — and how price changes are pushed to your register.

Step-by-Step Process

Accessing Fuel Settings

1. Log in to your PDI C-Store Essentials account

  • Access your C-Store essentials account

    • Use the following link here

  • On the left side of the screen, click on Gas

  • Next click on Settings

2. Review Gas Type

  • At the top, you will see your Gas Type:

    • Ownership Gas

    • Agent Gas (Commission-based)

  • To update your gas type:

    • On the left side of the screen, click on Store Settings

    • Then click on Configure Store Options

Fuel Settings Overview

  • PDI CStore Essentials organizes fuel settings into three tabs:

Tab 1: Basic Tank Settings

This section allows you to configure your default fuel grades.

  • Midgrade Fuel Blend

    • Choose whether your midgrade (plus) fuel is a blend of regular and super or from a separate tank

    • If it's blended, enter the blend ratio (e.g., for 65% regular and 35% super, enter 0.65)

  • Diesel and Cash/Credit Pricing

    • Indicate whether you sell diesel

      • Choose if you offer different prices for cash vs. credit card sales

        • If set to "Yes," the system will send both prices to your register

  • Price Change Email Notifications

    • Enter an email under Confirmation Email for Gas Price Changes to receive alerts when prices are sent to your register

  • Fuel Grade Details

    • For each fuel grade, enter:

      • Tank size

      • Tax rate (include state and local tax)

      • Register ID for day report mapping

        • Use a comma to separate multiple register IDs for the same grade

Tab 2: Additional Tank Settings

  • Some stores have up to 10 fuel grades, such as Winter Diesel, E-10, or E-85

  • Enable Additional Grades

    • To activate more grades, set the “Is Preset” field to Yes

  • Configure Extra Grade

    • Just like default tanks, enter:

      • Tank size

      • Tax rate

      • Register ID (use commas for multiple IDs)

💡 Tip!: If you're adding additional tanks, be sure to follow the extended setup instructions provided [here]

Tab 3: Settlement Settings

  • Use this tab to manage how you pay your fuel supplier and handle card settlements

  • Jobber Payment Settings

    • Select how you pay your jobber (e.g., EFT Draft)

    • Indicate which bank account is used for drafting

  • Credit Card Settlement

    • Branded stores typically settle credit cards through the jobber invoice

    • Unbranded stores usually settle directly into their bank account
