How to Correct/Confirm Gilbarco Passport Register’s Configuration Settings for Live Data Transactions

  • If PJR files are not being generated correctly, or if they appear in the wrong folder, follow the steps below to resolve the issue

Step-by-Step Process

1. Go to Manager Workstation

  • On your main Passport POS terminal, navigate to your Manager Workstation

  • Next click on Setup

  • Then click on Store

  • Next click on Back Office

  • Lastly, click on Back Office Interface

3. Check the "Generation Options"

  • Under Generation Options, ensure the following setting:

    • 'Combine Transaction Level Detail CPJR' should be unchecked

4. Save the Changes

  • After unchecking the option, click Save

  • Confirm the changes by clicking OK on the first message, Yes on the second, and Yes on the third

5. Return to POS Screen

  • Once done, you will be directed back to the POS screen.

  • If not, click on the POS screen to complete the process.

6. Verify Live Transactions Generation

  • After completing the above steps, the Passport Register should begin generating Live Transactions files into the correct folder (**\XMLGateway\BoOutBox**) as they are scanned, rather than all the data being combined at the end of the Day Close

    • Optional: If necessary, turn off and turn on the POS Register to ensure the settings take effect.


Important Notes

  • If the PJR files were previously being generated in the *\XMLGateway\PJRHolding* folder, this issue will be corrected once the configuration setting is updated.
