To properly manage inventory at the item level, you have to do the following:
- Make sure you are scanning all the items that you are selling so the PDI CStore Essentials can know whats being sold. Click here to learn how to add items to your register so you can scan them.
- Link items such as cigarette packs and cartons so that when you sell 1 pack, the system will subtract 0.1 cartons from your inventory and when you sell 1 carton, system will subtract 10 packs from you inventory. To learn more about setting this up click here.
- Enter deliveries for all purchases so the system can know what is coming into the store. Click here to learn how to enter in your deliveries.
- Review your inventory reports and occasionally do inventory audits to account for shrinkage
